Ceramics Club

Meets: Monday Room 240

Instructor(s): Ms. Cook

Students will learn the historical techniques and applications of creating fired clay objects. Students learn to shape clay using hand building methods like pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Our ceramics club goal is to help our students relax, enjoy learning, and engage with others. 

Choir

Meets: Mondays in Music Room

Instructor: Mr. Bavani

The Reach Harmonix after-school choir is an ensemble that meets once a week in the fall, then transitions into a merging club with the theater for the high school’s musical production. The fall focuses on various styles of music from Jazz to Classical, while the spring focuses on all the numbers you know and love from American Musical Theater! 

Dance & Step Club

Meets: Monday and Thursday after school from 3:45-5pm.

Get ready to move Reach! Dance and step club is an afterschool program that allows your creativity and power to shine. Our club offers dance, step, fitness, performances, mentorship, and fun!

Dungeons & Dragons

Meets: Tuesday Room 323

Instructor(s): Mx. Stilipec

The Dungeons & Dragons Club allows students to share epic fantasy adventures with their classmates.  Dungeons & Dragons is a collaborative role-playing game set in a magical universe where players use problem solving, critical thinking, and creative reasoning to complete quests, develop characters, and have fun.

Lakers Men's Club

Meets: Tuesday and Thursday Room 142

Instructor(s): Dr. Wesley (Nolita Project) and Team

This club is designed for students’ voices, healing, and future-readiness. The group develops healing circles to learn how to safely process stress, manage coping skills, as well as foster peer trust and understanding. The emphasis on healing ensures that students are supposrted and can confidently navigate their school journey.

We take photos and learn the ins and outs of how to take pictures to capture different moments and convey different meanings. We also are going to do video editing during our sessions.

Sisters Inspiring Sisters

Meets: Wednesday Room 234

Instructor: Ms. Johnson

Sister Inspiring Sisters is a transformative mentoring programdedicated to nurturing confidence, leadership, and resilience among young girls and women. Through authentic connections, guidance, and shared experiences, our sisters inspire one another to overcome challenges, embrace their unique strengths, and pursue their dreams boldly. Together, we build a supportive community where every voice is heard, every story valued, and every future bright.

Our mission is to empower and uplift young women by fostering meaningful mentorship relationships that inspire personal growth, self-confidence, and a lifelong commitment to supporting one another’s success.

Our vision is to create a world where every young woman feels seen, valued, and equipped to lead with courage and compassion—building a sisterhood that transforms communities and shapes the leaders of tomorrow.

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club celebrates Latino culture through engaging activities such as cooking, dancing, watching films, and taking part in cultural celebrations. The Spanish Club also encourages students to use the language, fostering personal growth and community involvement.

Chess Club

Comedy Club

Meets: Tuesday Room 340

Instructor(s): Mr. Beauttah

Students will explore a range of styles in comedy, including stand-up, improv, and sketch, while learning the principles of what makes something funny. Students will learn the fundamentals of how to engage an audience. 

Drumline

Meets: Monday and Thursday in the Music Room

Instructor(s): Mr. Beauttah and Jaydee

The drumline club introduces students to the fundamentals of percussion performance ensemble collaborationm, and musical expression with structured and engaging environment. By combinbing technical training with teamwork and performance practice, students will gain valuable skills that enhance both their artistic development and personal growth.

English

We work on our reading comprehension by completing Achieve lessons,  and we catch up on work from our English and math classes (study hall.) In the Spring we practice for the upcoming MCAP.

Math

Meets: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Room 310

Instructor(s): Ms. McCallum

The afterschool Math Club provides a platform for solving challenging problems, playing mathematical games, exploring advanced concepts, and preparing for state exams.  The club works to enhance critical thinking, improve problem-solving, and creating an enjoyable view of mathematics. 

Nerd Club

Meets: Thursdays in Room 344

Instructor(s): Mr. Levy

The Nerd Club will engage students in exploring their passions and connecting with peers who share similar interests and goals. Students will delve into all thigns nerdy. 

Robotics

Meets: Wednesday in the Library

Instructor: Mr. Davis

Participants build VEX V5 robots for the current competition season, this year being “Push Back”. There is one more competition (January 31) and we will meet at the PDC building on 2500 E Northern Parkway for the culminating event.

We have VEX EXP kits to build non-competition-grade robots and engage in learning activities. We also have CoDrones for introductory drone learning. The team constructed an original obstacle course and scoring system for navigating a course over a 2-minute time limit.

SGA

Meets: Mondays Room 395
Instructor(s): Ms. Carpe and Mr. Levy

Student Government Association is a student-led and elected organization which voices communication for the student body between students, staff, administration, and families. SGA representatives advocate for the student body to plan and promote equity within academic settings, school spirit activities, and overall school governance structures.

Theater

Meets: Wednesdays and Thursdays (Acting) and Mondays and Thursdays (Tech Crew) in the Auditorium

Instructor(s): Ms. Busch (Tech Crew), Mr. Conte (Acting), Ms. Fazio (Tech Crew), and Mr. Gladding (Tech Crew)

The Reach! Partnership Players were established in 2022 to build an appreciation for the arts. The drama club produces a fall play and winter musical each year, and is open to all Reach students. Previous productions include Almost, Maine, A Charlie Brown Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Cinderella, and Knock, Knock. In addition to acting, the drama club also includes a tech crew that constructs sets, designs costumes, controls lighting/sound, and helps run the performances behind the scenes.
